This is a very effective solution for schools seeking a rapid alert notification solution that sends cell phone and e-mail alerts instantly to students and faculty.
The Campus Alerts platform may be obtained as a single purchase solution that does not have any monthly or yearly reoccurring costs. This means that your university hosts the Desktop Alert server behind its firewall.
Optionally, Campus Alerts may be obtained as an ASP hosted solution whereby all hosting logistics are maintained by Desktop Alert at our secure data center.

All of the above offerings are based on a Desktop Alert system that is hosted at Desktop Alert data centers. This means that your end-user machines will only need to install the Desktop Alert Client application. This is commonly refereed to as Software As A Service (SaaS). The Desktop Alert SaaS System does not extend Active Directory/LDAP integration.
To leverage Active Directory/LDAP integration and Single Sign-on Integration, a request for a custom quote must be submitted so that Desktop Alert can properly assess your requirements and deliver a competitive quote.
Ninety-five percent of all Desktop Alert sales are premised based solutions. Desktop Alert runs wonderfully on existing networks and existing hardware. The platform operates over ports 443 and port 80, requires no new ports for operation and requires no new devices be introduced to your existing network. For premised based solutions Desktop Alert is a pure software solution that installs operational for the entire enterprise in less then one hour.
All information remains confidential and private and alerts may be sent to the entire end-user base or to specific groups and/or users.
