CHATHAM, NJ -- September 17, 2007 -- Desktop Alert, Inc. (http://www.desktopalert.net) today announced the company has completed its integration with Dialogic Communications Corporations (http://www.dccusa.com) Platforms. The resulting integration between the two companies mass notification platforms will enable Government, DoD and Corporate organizations who currently use DCC mass notification platforms to easily integrate critical mass notification to all workstations on and off the network. The combined capabilities of each companies notification systems result in a formidable twenty-nine years of combined mass notification system experience.
DCC clientele can now send Desktop Alerts to end-users and if alerts are not acknowledged Desktop Alert sends that information to the DCC Paltforms which in turn calls the unconfirmed recipient's telephone or cell phone and/or mobile devices. The communication tandem significantly bolsters unified messaging to levels not previously attainable.
Integration with Desktop Alert and DCC provides a single administrative interface capability which utilizes Active Directory Integration as well as on-the-fly group/distribution list capability. Groups and group subscribers can also be created on-the-fly outside the defined structure of the Active Directory organizational unit structure thereby removing the need to modify the Active Directory for special alerting needs. The two platforms are also available for non-Active Directory networks such as public internet domains. Mass notification can now be sent to personnel located outside, or at other general gatherings like the base exchange, commissary, hospitals, schools and other base facilities not operating on SIPRNet or NIPRnet. Public domain deployments are attainable by opt-in subscription by end-users.
The Desktop Alert System is easily populated with audio-visual signals compliant with the Air Force's Full Spectrum Threat Response (FSTR) requirements and also allows administrators and wing commanders the ability to create and publish on-the-fly audio-visual signals without technical expertise. This enhanced functionality is extended to the DCC Mass Notification Platform customers.
"DCC is currently deployed at over two hundred DoD facilities in the U.S. as well as numerous government municipalities, corporate organizations, police agencies, medical and educational institutions across The United States and over twenty-five countries. The addition of Desktop Alert to existing DCC systems multiplies warning system effectiveness and does so affordably. Instead of only alerting a few dozen phones and lethargic and ineffective email systems, selected workstations or thousands of workstations are now simultaneously notified with the same notification which requires no additional hardware and/or telecommunication expansion. DCC is recognized as the global leader in mass notification and this integration milestone provides Desktop Alert with tremendous global distribution opportunities."
