Desktop Alert provides U.S. Army
Garrison Kaiserslautern state-of-the-art
network-centric emergency notification system to provide
base-wide emergency notification using the base’s existing
Internet Protocol (IP) network. The procurement and deployment
followed a successful presentation of Desktop Alerts'
notification offerings across Europe to high profile U.S.
Military installations.
The alerts appear as pre-defined or on-the-fly pop-up windows
which force immediate attention to workstation receiving the
message with instructions for the action(s) to be taken. A
video, audio, image and or textual alert automatically
sound/appear over the computer’s monitor and speakers. Alerts
are received base-wide within an average of one minute after
the alert is sent.
U.S. Army Garrison's emergency alert
system operates via Desktop Alerts Web-based administrative
interface. Using this web-based console, administrators
OR moderators may publish alerts from any computer
connected to the base’s network.
"The selection by The United States Army Garrison at
Heidelberg is our company's latest sale to the U.S. Army
following our prestigious selection by The United States
Military Academy at West Point. Above and beyond desktop
alerting, Desktop Alert provides Department of Defense
facilities with advanced critical features such as
surveillance videos, training videos, XMPP instant messaging,
live video conferencing and more to any workstation with a
single mouse click. It is these additional feature
capabilities that both provide the garrison with the
industry's most advanced state-of-the-art alerting platform as
well as distance Desktop Alert from all other providers of
