Fort Campbell is using
Desktop Alert Inc. to provide emergency alerting to upwards
of
20,000 personnel, offering critical time sensitive alerts
and information to all personnel.
Fort Campbell is a United States Army installation located
between Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and Clarksville, Tennessee,
and is home to the 101st Airborne Division. Changes to the
101st Airborne are intended to make the Army more capable to
deal with today's threats. The post is expecting another
2,000 troops, with the addition of another brigade, bringing
the total active-duty population of Fort Campbell to around
28,000.
The alerts reliably notify targeted recipients with a myriad
of alerting capabilities which include but are not limited
to: alert auditing (accountability), video surveillance
delivery to any desktop, audible alerts, pre-defined threat
matrix templates, interactive alert capability for data
collection, approved DOD instant messaging extensibility and
more. The companies' offerings require no new devices be
introduced to the network. Desktop Alert is a pure
ISP/software solution which installs from a CD in hours.
Within seconds a Command Centers authorized publisher of the
alert can issue a scenario-based alert or a unique alert
definition providing the capability to respond to unique
events with specific requirements. The Desktop Alert
interface provides substantial on-the-fly custom alert
creativity with its HTML based WYSIWYG editor. There
are no limits to the amount of templates which may be
created over and above the pre-defined threat matrix
templates stocked with the notification platform.
Desktop Alert Inc. was selected due to its state-of-the-art
feature set, competitive price points and its rapid
deployment capability. The U.S. Army approved the
company's software as Networthy February 21st, 2008.
Desktop Alert is listed on the
Army Knowledge Online (AKO).
“The
selection of Desktop Alert by Fort Campbell is truly an
honor and representative of Desktop Alert's continued
increase of market share within the United States Army.
The Desktop Alert Networthiness Certification is currently
the only Net-Centric alert-to-desktop technology without
restrictions which proved to be a strong factor in the
decision making process. By introducing a Enterprise
Class Solution which does not introduce new devices to the
network insures minimal disruption to the network during and
after installation. The future looks bright for our
company and the hard work and determination is paying off.
We will continue to work hard for America's armed forces by
delivering high quality affordable Net-Centric mass
notification. At the end of the day, it's all about
happy customers" said
Howard Ryan, Founder and CEO of Desktop Alert
Inc.
