CHATHAM, NJ -- November 13, 2007 -- Desktop Alert, Inc. (http://www.desktopalert.net)
today announced that the company has been invited to a
invitation only event to speak to the Air Force at The ACS2007
Agile Combat Support Conference which is a Air Force
Modernization Event November 27th, 2007.
EVENT DETAILS:
The conference audience includes:
- Military Representatives from Headquarters Air
Force, Secretary of the Air Force/Acquisition,
Numbered Air Force, and Major Commands
- Government Civilians
- ACS Functionals
- National and DoD Research Labs
- System Program Offices
- Battlelabs
- Anyone with a stake in ACS Modernization Planning
Agile Combat Support (ACS) is
the capability produced by the forces and processes that
create, sustain and protect Air and Space Forces across
the full spectrum of military operations. Over 80% of any
Air Force deployment is comprised of ACS capabilities.
As the Air Force transforms from a threat-based to a
capabilities-based planning and modernization construct,
there is an increase in demand for agile combat support
capabilities that deliver precise effects. As the Global
War on Terrorism continues, the need for lighter, leaner,
ACS systems/capabilities, in the realms of infrastructure,
logistics, and force protection is a reality.
The purpose of the conference is to help educate its
attendees, as well as facilitate networking within the ACS
community. Following are just a few of the goals the
conference hopes to achieve:
- Give attendees an understanding of ACS, e.g.,
Doctrine and CONOPS
- Discuss the planning processes and capability
shortfalls in ACS with representatives involved in ACS
modernization across the Air Force
- Provide an update on the status of efforts, and
obtain a vector check on the direction for future
modernization and planning issues
- Provide a venue for developers of potential ACS
solutions to showcase their capabilities to the Air
Force ACS customer base
- Networking with the ACS community
