DESKTOP ALERT PLATINUM
DECENTRALIZED ARCHITECTURE COMBINED WITH CENTRALIZED ARCHITECTURE
The following diagram illustrates the Desktop Alert Mass Notification Total Solution for large scale enterprise organizations seeking maximum redundancy for C2 alert management, maintenance and integration across the enterprise.

This is a representation of a DECENTRALIZED deployment overlapped with a CENTRALIZED architecture. That is to say that a significant portion of the deployment accommodates that of a decentralized architecture insuring that local bases/installations have a substantial degree of autonomy and operational capacity without a reliance on the head node (HQ/Regional Servers).
Command HQ could conceivably go down and all of the standalone nodes on the network would continue to operate. Thus, a DECENTRALIZED DEPLOYMENT overlapped with a CENTRALIZED architecture.
While Command HQ can send alerts to any and all nodes and manage maintenance across the enterprise (as is the case with a typically designed centralized architecture) with Desktop Alert Platinum all local installations maintain the autonomous ability to operate with FULL administrative capability at all times, i.e.:
• Publish alerts across the local network to Giant Voice, SMS, e-mail, desktops, and other ip-connected devices
• Manage all aspects of the alert system locally
• Continue operations even if regional servers fail
Yet, with this configuration it is understood that sometimes local networks fail and in that scenario the Command HQ (regional servers) enable the local network to sustain operation by way of a fail over URL provided to the local ip-network from the Desktop Alert System at headquarters.
Full replication means that all alerts, all personnel directories and all reporting data will be updated to the appropriate data repositories once full OR partial network recovery has been attained. This insures to HQ and local networks rapid technological presentation of all audit data.
i.e. What took place, when and where, regardless of which nodes were up or down across the network(s).
The speed to full recovery for viewing crucial reporting data is one of the unique features of the Desktop Alert Platinum offering. This state-of-the-art design was developed by our very own Stephen Forte. Stephen is a Microsoft Regional Director and author and

DECENTRALIZED ARCHITECTURE
The following diagram illustrates the Desktop Alert Mass Notification Total Solution for enterprise level organizations without requirements to integrate with multiple user directories and/or domains.
Local installations maintain ability to operate with FULL administrative capability, i.e.:
• Integrate with and publish/receive alerts to all personnel on the network
• Manage all aspects of the alert system
• Rely on redundant fail over network if local network fails (optional)
This network configuration represents the most affordable mass notification platform available from Desktop Alert.
Desktop Alert is a best-of-breed IP-Based alert technology which provides seamless integration with enterprise-class federated environments and shares communications and commands using standardized protocols such as XML and HTML.
