You can specify an area on the map, name for it, and specify the IP range for the machines in this area. This new capability introduces a computer-based reverse 911 system We are all familiar with 911 which is used to report emergencies to the authorities. In simple terms, Desktop Alerts computer-based reverse 911 system allows the authorities to contact you. Your computer ip-address is stored in a computer system which pinpoints your location. This allows emergency personnel to notify only the people residing in the areas affected by the emergency.
