Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 4-021-01 The Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) system is prescribed by MIL-STD 3007 and provides planning, design, construction, sustainment, restoration, and modernization criteria, and applies to the Military Departments, the Defense Agencies, and the DoD Field Activities. IP-Based network-centric systems are now being implemented to augment the management of existing mass notification systems at DOD facilities.

DIACAP – The DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) is the United States Department of Defense (DoD) process to ensure that risk management is applied on information systems (IS). DIACAP defines a DoD-wide formal and standard set of activities, general tasks and a management structure process for the certification and accreditation (C&A) of a DoD IS that will maintain the information assurance (IA) posture throughout the system's life cycle.
Air Force Instruction (AFI) 10-2501 This instruction implements Air Force Policy Document (AFPD) 10-2, Readiness; AFPD 10-25, Full-Spectrum Threat Response (to be renamed Emergency Management); AFPD 10-26, Counter-Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Operational Preparedness (to be renamed Counter-Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Operations); AFPD 10-8, Homeland Security; Air Force Doctrine Document (AFDD) 2-1.8, Counter Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Operations; and portions of AFDD 2-4.1, Force Protection. Desktop Alert compliant with AFI 10-2501 requirements for emergency notification and warning systems.
