Account Tab - Generate Signup URL

NOTE: THIS INFORMATION FOR NON-ACTIVE DIRECTORY ENVIRONMENTS

Using the Generate Signup URL menu as shown below an Administrator of the Desktop Alert Platform create URLs which will auto-subscribe end-users to a specific group or groups during an opt-in registration process by the end-users.

The image below is a automatically generated web page the new user will see during registration. See the two Group GUIDS in the browser address bar.

After registration the end-user will be sent an email similar to the one below:

testalert123,

You have created a new account.

You must download and install the necessary alert software.

You must have Microsoft's .NET Framework version 2.0 installed on your computer in order to install and run the alert software.

You can install it through Windows Update.

The first time you run the alert software you will be asked for the following information:

Username: testalert123
Password: testalert123
